ROMP Fundraiser at Rapha Seattle

  • Rapha Clubhouse Seattle 301 East Pine Street Seattle, WA, 98122 United States (map)

Adaptive Cycling Q&A + Raffle!

Join us at the Rapha Clubhouse in downtown Seattle and meet Dillen Maurer, founder of Baphomet Bicycles! Learn more about adaptive cycling, bikepacking, and hear his story of overcoming the 2022 cycling accident that left him a below-knee amputee.

This summer Dillen is attempting to become the first amputee to complete the Tour Divide—an endurance mountain bike race that starts in Banff, Canada and ends on the US/Mexico border in New Mexico. He’s racing to raise money for the Range of Motion Project (ROMP)—a non-profit providing prosthetics to underserved communities in central & south America.

Rapha’s generous support of this project will include an in-person raffle at the Seattle Clubhouse on Saturday, May 31.

The evening will kick off at 5:30PM with mingling and snacks. Be sure to bring your curiosity and investigate the hand-built rigid mountain bike Dillen has built to tackle the Tour Divide!

Dillen will then tell his story and answer all your bikepacking + Tour Divide + adaptive cycling + amputee + ROMP questions, followed by a raffle! Tickets for the raffle can be purchased ahead of time or in-person: 1 ticket = $5 donation to ROMP.

PLEASE RSVP!

All are welcome! Venue does have a couple stairs between the floors, but we are working with event organizers to make the space as accessible as possible—entrance to the main room is wheelchair-friendly, though parking is limited and parking in downtown Seattle is not known to be ADA-friendly. If you have any mobility restrictions or concerns, don’t hesitate to email sendit@baphometbicycles.com.
